Sinopse:

Quando o proscrito Quirt Evans (Wayne) é ferido durante um assalto a banco, é socorrido e acolhido por uma família religiosa Quaker, que permite que a bela filha, Penélope, cuide de seus ferimentos. Quirt começa a repensar no seu estilo de vida violento, quando se vê loucamente apaixonado por Penélope.
